The Royal Questions

If you have been following world news then you know that The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, and Prince Harry welcomed their first child this past month on September 25th! The birth of baby Archie Harrison has been making headlines worldwide and we are loving all of the adorable photos circling the web. The overjoyed couple is seriously stunning, wouldn’t you agree?

Well, with all the royal baby talk, we had some royal questions and this goes out to all the new moms out there that might be wondering the same things…

Can you still get waxed while pregnant?

The simple answer is YES! It is generally considered safe as long as the facility is clean, the wax or strips are not being reused between clients, and there isn’t any “double-dipping” going on – you just need to make sure you’re not at risk for bacterial infections, that’s all. BUT, since your body is producing extra blood and fluids to support your growing bundle of joy you may be more sensitive than usual, making waxing more painful. So, if you dare to be baby bare maybe take an Advil or Tylenol an hour before your wax.

How long after giving birth can you get waxed?

Let’s begin by saying, everyone and everybody is different so there is no right or wrong answer as it all depends on your comfort FULLY. Obviously scar tissue and stitches after giving birth can be an issue for some so waiting is essential to give your body time to heal properly. Some women can wax weeks after giving birth & some wait months so it all comes back to how your feeling. After doing some digging, it seems like 6 weeks is the magical number that we keep seeing that everyone seems to be comfortable with on other sites brushing up on this topic.

In the end, when it comes to pregnancy, it’s about your vagina and when she’s ready to make a royal debut.
